2048 Quest is a free online 2048 puzzle hub. We host the original number-merging game alongside themed variants such as Cupcakes, Cats, Alphabet, and Couch, all playable instantly in your browser with no signup, no download, and no real money.

2048 Quest is built and maintained by Yoda Games, an indie studio that creates free browser games. Yoda Games operates a small network of casual game sites, each focused on a single game category and built to make that game easy to play on the open web.

Our Philosophy

Free, forever. We believe great puzzle games should be playable without paywalls or signups. 2048 Quest is built so every theme stays accessible in the browser with as little friction as possible.

The 2048 Story

The original 2048 was created by Italian web developer Gabriele Cirulli in March 2014 as an open-source weekend project. Within weeks it became one of the most viral browser games of the decade.

Because Cirulli released the code under the MIT license, hundreds of themed re-skins appeared across the web. 2048 Quest exists to preserve that puzzle in a clean, browser-friendly format while also giving players a few visual twists to enjoy.

Our themes use original artwork inspired by the most popular 2048 community variants while keeping the same core slide-and-merge mechanic that made the original game so satisfying.
